My boy turned 3 today. Yep - he's no longer a baby. Three. Wow.
And can I just say that we did NOT bid farewell to the terrible twos today. Nope - they followed us right on to three. Hopefully it was their last hoorah and they'll be long gone tomorrow. Or tonight.
Carter, I love you so much! You're the only kid I know who can take a lickin' and keep on tickin' without skipping a beat. You can make me laugh when I'm so mad at you I could spit. You have the best personality in the world and I'm so thankful that the Lord entrusted you to me.
Now, tomorrow is a new day. Hopefully it will be a better one!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARTER!
Wow, I can't believe he is three already. I still remember you being pregnant and not wanting him to come until the new year so you could spend Christmas with family.
You are an amazing mom, Lara and God certainly knew what He was doing when he gave you Carter (and Ashlyn). They are both beautiful children and you are spot on with the comment about how he can make you laugh even when ready to spit.
Congratulations on three fabulous years with Carter and may you have 100 more!
My, my how the time does fly! Carter is three but he is still a "little boy" to his Nana. It was special being on the skype with him last night and seeing that cute "chocolate face" and that big smile when we sang Happy Birthday. (My heart misses him and all of you so much.) Enjoy where he is right now because it will change in a flash and he will be "13" instead of "3". I know you love him with all your heart but just wait until you become a "grandmother", that's when you will see just how deep love can reach!! I love you little guy.

I can't believe Carter is three either! But then...that means mine is almost two, huh? I also remember when you were pregnant during the holidays and introduced me to Hobby Lobby...
Now my life (and bank account) will never be the same...
